10 YEARS OF CLAY AND COPPER
“The Bodegón Cultural de Los Vilos, as its name suggests, is located in the heart of Chile's mining region, in Los Vilos, a small and beautiful coastal town in the north of the country. Jorge Colvin, an architect and art lover, moved there approximately 20 years ago, and after purchasing warehouses in poor condition, he lovingly restored them. He later converted them into a spacious and unique exhibition space. Fernando di Castro, an environmentalist, took care of the beautiful gardens there.
Mining Month is celebrated in Chile every August, and so the idea arose for the Huara Huara workshop to exhibit works that integrate ceramics and copper during that month.
This book brings together a representative sample of the work produced over the past 10 years. Artist Viviana Ruz participated in this edition with her work "TOTEM CON PENNES."

ESTEKA WHITE PAPER

This book was published in conjunction with the 2014 exhibition of the same name organized by Esteka magazine at the Las Condes Cultural Association in Santiago, Chile. This exhibition, and the book we are discussing, shared the use of white in the ceramics.
The sixty-eight ceramists included in the book represent the current state of ceramics in Chile. A look through the pages reveals an undeniable level of artistry.
This publication, like Esteka magazine, offers us a chance to delve deeper into the Chilean ceramic movement. Several notable names stand out, including Vesna Granic, Benjamín Lira, and Ruth Krauskopf. Artist Viviana Ruz participated in this edition with her zoomorphic work.
